Literacy and creative expression take center stage at St. Joseph’s, and our students have recently participated in two fantastic literary campaigns that have sparked immense creativity across all class levels.
The first is the highly popular “We Are Writers” project. This initiative offers our children a unique, inspiring opportunity to see their very own stories and creative writing published in a real, physical book. There is always a tremendous sense of pride and great excitement when the classes finally receive the printed books that they helped create together.
In tandem with this, our pupils have been working diligently on the “Write a Book” project. For this challenge, each child writes and illustrates their own unique book from scratch. Once completed, these books are sent over to another local school to be read and reviewed by their peers. Our students work incredibly hard to complete their masterpieces and equally love the opportunity to sit down and read the unique books sent over from other schools. We are incredibly proud of our talented young authors!
